I'm a 2024-25 Knight Science Journalism fellow at MIT. I'm on leave from covering climate at the Texas Tribune, where my reporting focused on Texas’ transition to green energy, the reliability of the power grid and impacts of climate change. I began my career at the Los Angeles Times and its local papers. I later worked at the Houston Chronicle, where I covered climate disasters, industrial pollution and environmental policy. I won several Texas Managing Editors awards and was part of the 2017 team that was named a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for breaking news coverage of Hurricane Harvey. I graduated from Yale University in 2013.
